Nalanda Retreat Center holds a very special place in my heart. Being close to the founder, I have had the privilege of witnessing its journey from the very beginning, following its development over the past years. Seeing such a sincere vision come to life has been deeply moving.

I also had the opportunity to create the website for Nalanda, which allowed me to connect even more closely with its spirit and intention.

I was present in February 2026 for the official opening and purification ceremonies with the monks—an experience filled with a quiet, powerful presence that is difficult to put into words.

I stayed at the center for a full month, and what I experienced there is something I will carry with me. There is a profound sense of calm and serenity, a space where time slows down and where you can truly reconnect with yourself.

The center is lovingly maintained by Kumar and his family, who dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to making it what it is today. I feel incredibly grateful to have met them all and to have been welcomed not just as a guest, but as part of this meaningful and heartfelt project.

Nalanda is more than just a beautiful place—it is an atmosphere, a feeling that stays with you long after you leave.

A beautiful place to relax in nature with incredibly kind people who take great care of everything. The food is excellent. I attended a Buddhist meditation retreat here and felt fantastically refreshed after just a few days. A true paradise.

What a magic place. Come here for any kind of meditation and spiritual insights. Here is a great space for going deep to yourself in contact with nature , perfect facilities , great food and heartfelt people. I loved the huts and the open space meditation hall. I made a 10-days retreat and stayed for another 3 days. The only disadvantage: It was really hard to leave.
