The Hall is the méditation place of Nalanda Retreat Center.
The architecture of the hall has been carefully designed to create an inspiring space for meditation.
Its circular shape—enveloping like a womb—encourages a turning inward. It is open in all directions. The stained-glass windows reflect a colorful, alluring outside world while drawing our attention back to the central opening, which awakens our sense of verticality: a beam of light descends from the sky through the center of a six-pointed star, tracing a perfect mandala on the floor in the evening.
Upstairs, a vast terrace with a panoramic view offers an ideal setting for yoga, walking meditation, or simply admiring the colors of the sunset.
