Solidarity
Sri Lanka has just been struck by a devastating cyclone that has killed thousands of people due to landslides, flooding, and widespread damage. As a result, the country was without electricity, running water, gas, communications and many roads were blocked for more than two weeks.
Yet, accustomed to enduring crises, Sri Lankans are used to solidarity. They naturally help each other and share their food with their neighbours. In fact, in Sri Lanka, this tradition is deeply rooted in every village.
For Nalanda Center, as members of the village community, we feel the urge to integrate this movement of solidarity into our own region.
Your support, whether in the form of goods, clothing or money, will be used as well as possible to benefit the local population.
Child Action Lanka
“Our friends are contributing to this organization for child care and visit the different sites and schools every year. Therefore we can guarantee that the money donated there is used carefully for the children’s benefit “
