We can accommodate comfortably 15 – 20 people.
Overview of Nalanda Retreat Center’s guest houses, rooms, guidelines and offered services. 2 single bedroom One of them with open-sky bathroom, the other with outside shower. Nalanda Retreat Center is not a simple guest house. It is a place dedicated to spiritual practice leading to awakening, that is to say. to the discovery of our true nature. In order to promote effective practice and to help us turn attention within ourselves, silence is of primary importance. It helps us to see what we are used to projecting outwards and therefore enables us to understand how we create our suffering and the one of others by unknowingly building our own prison with our conditionings and fixed ideas. Therefore, Nalanda Retreat Center has established guidelines and a program that we ask you to follow. It may not meet all your special needs so it will be necessary to adapt. Learn to save your energy by limiting your words to Dharma related questions or practical problems. If you leave the compounds of the Center, it is imperative to return before 6 pm because the gates are closed at night Please leave your mobile phones in the office to free yourself from constant information. Group meditations are scheduled in the morning and in the evening. 2 meals are served each day, breakfast at 9 AM and lunch at 2 PM The library is at your disposal. We encourage you to respect the precepts followed in most Buddhist centers: In your room: Take care to close your windows and doors when going out and turn off the lights and fan. As we are in a rural area, it is important to respect local customs and dress accordingly, covering your shoulders and legs. It’s also a way to protect yourself against insects. Please don’t hesitate to contact us in case of questions or special needs
Welcome!
