Shantini/Charlotte Perret and Sri Sathya Kumar Mutturaja:

Discover your inner peace with Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda.

February 20, 2027 - February 26, 2027

About the seminar:

Stepping back is essential to understanding our existence. Just as water becomes clear when its surface remains undisturbed, the body releases tension when allowed to rest, and the mind clears when not agitated by incessant thoughts.

We can discover a profound peace and joy—latent within each of us—waiting for the right conditions to reveal themselves.

The days will be paced by meditation, yoga, massages, treatments, healthy meals, and excursions to the region’s powerful sites and temples.
Special attention will be paid to each participant to tailor practices and treatments to their individual needs.

Shantini/Charlotte Perret

Swiss-French acupuncturist, homeopath, and naturopath, Charlotte practices at the Integrative Health Practices Center in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

She discovered meditation in 1979 during a retreat with the renowned S.N. Goenka in India. Those ten days of silent, completely isolated practice marked a decisive turning point for her, as she had found meaning in life.

Of course, there were still many experiences to come; in the following years, she participated in numerous retreats in India, Thailand, Burma, Sri Lanka, and Europe.

In 2017, when she sought a pleasant location to dedicate herself fully to her practice, the Nalanda site presented itself to her.

After more than eight years of construction, Nalanda Retreat Center is now open. It is designed to optimally foster practices such as meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda—which means “knowledge of life.” Oil massages, herbal treatments and healthy nutrition also play an important role in this way of life.

The goal is to enable participants to disconnect from daily life and—through the various practices and treatments offered—rediscover inner peace and joy in an inspiring environment.

Sri Sathya Kumar Mutturaga, manager and director of Nalanda Retreat Center.

Kumar has developed an extensive knowledge of Ayurvedic plants, their cultivation, and their therapeutic effects through his work managing several spice gardens in Sri Lanka.

He is also an Ayurvedic massage practitioner, using oils and medicinal herbal compresses.

He currently cultivates his own spice garden at Nalanda Centre and we have established a dedicated unit for Ayurvedic treatments, including massages, Shirodhara, and steam baths.

His wife, Renuka, has mastered the art of Ayurvedic cooking: she skillfully uses local spices to create dishes that are as delicious as they are beneficial to health.
